Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method of obtaining a carbon-supported platinum core-shell catalyst with excellent oxygen reduction activity and durability with a method capable of mass-producing industrially in a platinum core-shell catalyst using palladium (Pd) as a core metal.SOLUTION: By dispersing a Pd core in an acidic solution, adding a water-soluble compound containing bromine or iodine and a platinum precursor with an oxidation number of +divalent under an inert atmosphere at a temperature below room temperature or adding a platinum precursor with an oxidation number of +divalent containing a bromine ion as a ligand at a temperature lower than room temperature, raising the temperature above room temperature after stirring for a certain period of time, and using a direct replacement method in which stirring is performed for a certain period of time at a temperature higher than room temperature, abnormal precipitation of the platinum shell is suppressed and it is possible to easily synthesize a carbon-supported platinum core-shell catalyst having high coverage of the platinum shell, high activity, high durability, and excellent battery characteristics.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 20
