Abstract:
To provide a method of continuously manufacturing a large area of polymer electrolyte membrane without occurrence of a wrinkle defect and without breakage of the membrane.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method including the steps of: continuously applying a proton conductive polymer solution to a substrate sheet 3; tensing and feeding out a nanofiber sheet 1 in contact with a non-mirror roll; obtaining a surface-treated nanofiber sheet by continuously bringing a first surface of the nanofiber sheet into contact with the applied proton conductive polymer solution; and drying the surface-treated nanofiber sheet. An average fiber diameter of nanofibers is 100 nm to 600 nm, a load required for deforming the sheet in 8% in a length direction is 0.2 N/10 mm or more, a tensile force for feeding out the sheet changes a length of the nanofiber sheet in a width direction in -3.0% to 0.5%, and at least one terminal of the sheet in the width direction is brought into contact with the polymer solution.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
