Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide nickel hydroxide powder with good filing property by which, a battery with high reactivity and high capacity can be obtained.
SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of positive electrode active material contains a process of depositing nickel hydroxide fine particles as main component by making aqueous solution containing nickel salt as a main component react with excessive alkaline aqueous solution, a process of forming slurry by removing remained alkaline component from the deposited substance deposited at the previous process, and an agglutination process forming ball- shaped particles by drying and agglutinating the slurry at high temperature.
