Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means of increasing the yield of the refined products of EGF protein that is expressed within a plant body.SOLUTION: The invention provides a manufacturing method of the refined products of the epidermal growth factor that is expressed within a plant body comprising: a crushing step of crushing a plant body containing epidermal growth factor; a centrifugation step of centrifuging a crushing solution and recovering a supernatant; a two-phase partition step of subjecting the recovered supernatant to the aqueous two-phase partition method using the aqueous two-phase system consisting of a polyethyleneglycol phase and a salt phase, and recovering a polyethyleneglycol phase; and a chromatography step of subjecting the polyethyleneglycol phase to an ion exchange chromatography or adsorption chromatography; and comprising no ultrafiltration step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
