Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which has high sensitivity and is used for optical thin-film assays, without being influenced by the property of a material constituting a substrate.
SOLUTION: An intermediate layer (b), which will not impair the optical characteristics of the surface of the substrate (a) and which increases the bonding site of a receptor substance, is installed between the substrate (a), which is an essential constituent portion of the device and has a surface comprising optical characteristics and a receptor-substance layer (c) which captures a specimen.
