Abstract:
To provide a method capable of efficiently modeling a tire in which a grooved body is formed.SOLUTION: A method creates a numerical analysis model of a tire in which a grooved body having a sipe or a groove is formed in a tread section. The method includes: first step S1 for defining, on a computer, a three dimensional mesh of the tread section where the grooved body is embedded, the three dimensional mesh including a plurality of mesh planes extending from an outer surface of the tire to an inner side in a tire radial direction; second step S2 in which a computer specifies at least one mesh plane, corresponding to the grooved body, from among the plurality of mesh planes as a first mesh plane; third step S3 for modifying the first mesh planes into a duplicated one pair of first mesh planes by duplexing the first mesh planes; and fourth step S4 for deforming the one pair of first mesh planes so that the one pair of first mesh planes are separated with a distance corresponding to a groove width of the grooved body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
