Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a new visible light transmission type photocatalyst coating solution.

This method for producing the new visible light transmission type photocatalyst coating solution is characterized by including a process (wet gel preparation process) for adding an acid catalyst to a mixture solution of an organic titanium compound represented by Ti(OR)4(R groups are each independently a 1 to 6C hydrocarbon group) with formaldehyde and/or dimethylformaldehyde, and (immediately) heating the mixture at a temperature of 100 to 200°C for 1 min to 48 hrs to prepare the wet gel containing anatase type titanium oxide.
