Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a zinc oxide sintered ore which is low in grade of chlorine, fluorine and lead from zinc-containing iron and steel dust generated in a manufacturing process for iron and steel and is suitable for electrolytic refining, and to provide a method for manufacturing a zinc oxide sintered ore which can effectively take out and recover the zinc and the lead from the dust or drainage-treating deposition containing the zinc and the lead generated during the process.SOLUTION: The chlorine is removed by applying the wet processing to crude zinc oxide recovered by volatilization in a reducing roasting furnace and the remaining chlorine, fluorine and lead are volatilized by applying the heat treatment with a drying-heating furnace. Further, the lead is recovered with a form which can effectively be used, from the dust containing the zinc and the lead generated in the drying-heating furnace, and the deposition after recovery is applied to the drainage treatment together with waste fluid containing the zinc and the lead generated during the process and the obtained drainage-treating deposition is returned into the reducing roasting furnace and thus, valuables are recovered.
