Abstract:
To provide a map data collection apparatus which can determine whether or not to update map data with less computational complexity.SOLUTION: A map data collection apparatus configured to collect location and attribute information of a road feature included in map data to be used for automated driving control of a moving body includes: a storage unit 42 which stores map data including location and attribute information of one or more first road features; an input unit 41 which inputs location and attribute information of a second load feature detected by a sensor arranged in the moving body; and a determination unit 51 which selects one first road feature located closest to the second road feature by referring to the map data stored in the storage unit 42, and determines whether or not to update the map data on the basis of the attribute information of the first road feature, the attribute information of the second road feature, and a distance between the first road feature and the second road feature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
