Abstract:
To make high degree information retrieval possible by using a displayed map.
In a map displaying system which displays map information on the screen of a display device by means of a computer, the identification information of document information contained in the map information is registered in an attribute-map correspondence table 110 by correlating the identification information with the coordinate position of the document information in the map information. A document retrieval processing section 102 and a map display processing section 107 detects the document information within the range designated on the displayed map by referring to the table 110, and displays the detected document information on the screen of the display device.
