Abstract:

To make it unnecessary to require as many markers for measuring three-dimensional positions to display virtual objects as virtual objects to be displayed.

A user carries a marker presentation portable terminal 10 with himself or herself instead of a printed marker. In composing a virtual object image in a photographed image, the marker presentation portable terminal 10 displays to a picture a marker for three-dimensional position recognition where the virtual object image is composed. The marker presentation portable terminal 10 registers a plural kinds of preset markers and an arbitrary marker can be displayed by the user's selection. Thus, the user need not carry as many printed markers as the virtual objects the user wants to display with himself or herself. Even when many kinds of virtual objects are pre-registered, by carrying just one marker presentation portable terminal 10 with oneself, it is possible to select the virtual object to be displayed from among many kinds of virtual objects.
