PURPOSE: To accurately transmit the movement of a movable frame to a roller, even if its movement is arcuate at the time of marking and permit its feed to be adjusted to any desired amount by connecting a feed roller for feeding a material to be marked and a movable frame provided with a type wheel is connected together via a bevel gear mechanism.

CONSTITUTION: A material to be marked, e.g. a casing 81 having a tube inserting opening 82, is set with feed rollers 85 and 87 mounted on support shafts 86 and 88. A small-diametered bevel gear 91 is mounted to the support shaft 86 via one-way clutch and engages with a large diameter bevel gear 92 pivotally mounted on a support shaft 92b. A bolt 93 above a casing 81 is connected freely rockably to a movable frame 20 via a bracket and a pin 95 fixed to the bevel gear 92 engages with an elongated hole 94a of a connecting bar 94 below the bolt 93. The movable frame 20 moves downwards for marking and, when the bolt 93 and the connecting bar 94 move downwards, although the bevel gear 92 is rotated in the direction (a) by the force of a spring member, a notched part 92a comes in contact with an adjusting metal fitting movable back and forth to be restrained from movement, thereby adjusting the fed amount of a tube.
