The apparatus includes a lower member having a food receiving recess, and lower teeth for masticating fixed on a bottom part of the recess, and an upper member having the upper teeth for masticating, facing the lower teeth for masticating in a vertically movable way, and a drive unit to drive the upper teeth for masticating to rotate. As the upper teeth for masticating in the upper member are pushed down, they rotate while moving down to masticate the food in the food receiving recess.
