Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a mat useful for the direct sowing of rice seeds at definite spacings and capable of eliminating troublesome rice nursery work and transplantation work by putting a rice seed in a bag made of a specific material and pasting the bag to a mat.
CONSTITUTION: A seed rice is put into a bag 3 made of a material disintegrable and diffusible in water. The bag 3 is pasted to a mat 1 made of the above material and having a number of perforations 2 to facilitate the sinking of the mat in water.
