Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the adhesion strength of a diamond film to a base plate by impregnating the porous base plate in which a diamond thin film is formed on a part of the surface with an adhesive material. CONSTITUTION:A porous base plate 6 is immersed in an alcohol solution containing dispersed diamond powder and ultrasonic vibration is applied so as to make fine cuts on the surface of the base plate 6. The base plate 6 is set in a microwave CVD apparatus and a diamond thin film 7 is formed on a part of the surface 6a of the base plate 6 according to the CVD method. The base plate 6 is then set in a vacuum oven in a state where the surface 6a is directed downward. The base plate 6 is impregnated with an adhesive material 8 from the other side 6b and the adhesive material 8 is allowed to reach the contact surface between the diamond thin film 7 and the surface 6a.
