Abstract:

To provide a material composition for optics which has abnormal dispersibility capable of correcting a chromatic aberration and can be easily processed as an optical element, and to provide an optical element using the composition.

This material composition includes: ≥1 and ≤50 mass% of tellurium oxide (IV) particles (A); ≥50 and ≤99 mass% of an organic compound (B) having at least one polymerizable functional group in one molecule; and ≥0.1 and ≤5 mass% of a polymerization initiator (C). The optical element having its cured substance is also disclosed.
