Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent projection of a part of coating from the perimeter or the ends of a material for a magnet, and to prevent contamination of the formation of rust caused by peeling of the coating.
SOLUTION: A material 10 for a magnet is formed in the shape of a ring of a desired diameter. Four grooves 12 are formed respectively at both ends in the axial direction of the ring and are spaced uniformly in the direction of the perimeter. The grooves 12 are rectangular and are formed across the whole diameter of each of the ends. Each groove 12 of one end is axially opposed to the corresponding one of the other end. The depth of the grooves 12 is determined so that the projection from the coating caused by a retaining electrode at the time of electrodeposition coating may not protrude from the ends of the material 10 for the magnet in the axial direction.
