Title:
MATERIAL FOR THERMAL SPRAYING OF GLASS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05287494
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for preheating of a base material at a high temperature by packing glass powder into a rod-like or resin tube, forming a cord-like shape, thereby producing a material for thermal spraying of glass.

CONSTITUTION: The glass powder 2 is mutually hardened by a binder 3 and packed into the resin tube 1 to produce the material for thermal glass spraying. The binder 3 may be a component evaporating at a low temperature, for example, polyvinyl alcohol or the like may be used. A component for the resin tube 1 may be a resin evaporating at a low temperature, for example, polyethylene or the like may be used. The thermal spraying of the glass powder by a wire flame spraying device is available and since preheating at a high temperature is not required, the base material is not distorted.
