To obtain a material to be recorded for ink jetting having gloss or a material to be recorded for ink jetting having high transparency by a method wherein gelatin crosslinked by at least one kind selected from compounds expressed by the specific formula is contained in an ink absorbing layer.
Gelatin crosslinked by at least one kind selected from compounds expressed by the formula I is contained in an ink absorbing layer. In the formula I, a symbol X represents a bivalent residue having a carbonyl group or a sulfonyl group bonded to a N-atom in the residue. Symbols R1, R2 represent respectively a monovalent residue, which may be same or different. Further, the symbols R1, R2 may form a substituent ring or non-substituent ring by bonding mutually. A symbol R3 expresses a bivalent residue, and a symbol (p) represents an integer of 0 or 1. Especially in compounds expressed by the formula I, the compound expressed by any one of formula II-IV is preferable. In the formulas II-IV, all of the symbols R1-R3 are as same as the symbols R1-R3 in the formula I.
