PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer a material by a low-priced device by providing a reciprocating truck adapted to reciprocate in each block, and a self-running pallet which is capable of travelling on the reciprocating truck and loaded with a material, and transferring the material to the next reciprocating truck by the self-running pallet at the boundary between the blocks.
SOLUTION: A reciprocating truck 1 reciprocating in a fixed block is provided with wheels 11 and elevating tables 12, and a material M loading self- running pallet 2 is also provided with wheels 21 to travel on the reciprocating truck 1. The transport range for the material M is divided into plural parts, and the reciprocating truck 1 is disposed to reciprocate in each block. The self-running pallet 2 is loaded with the material M, the pallet is put on the reciprocating truck 1, and the truck is advanced from the start point of the first block. When the truck reaches the boundary with the next block, the self-running pallet 2 is transferred onto the next reciprocating truck 1, the elevating tables 12 of the next reciprocating truck 1 are lifted to receive the material M, and the self-running pallet is returned to the reciprocating truck 1 of the preceding block. Then, the reciprocating truck 1 loaded with the material M is advanced. Thus, the material M is sequentially advanced and moved.
