PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel material capable of being an active material.SOLUTION: There is provided a material having a lithium composite metal oxide part represented by a general formula of a layering rock salt structure:LiNiCoMnDO(0.2≤a≤2, b+c+d+e=1, 0≤e<1, D is at least one element selected from Fe, Cr, Cu, Zn, Ca, Mg, Zr, S, Si, Na, K, Al, Ti, P, Ga, Ge, V, Mo, Nb, W, La, Hf and Rf and 1.7≤f≤3 and a boron-containing part formed on a surface of the lithium composite metal oxide part and having element ratio Co/Mn value of a surface higher than c/d value of the lithium composite metal oxide part.SELECTED DRAWING: None
