Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide material with a sandwich structure which is light weight and has a good penetration resistance and a burn through property.
CONSTITUTION: In material with a sandwich structure which is made by laminating fiber reinforced resin plates 2 comprising reinforcing fibers and matrix resin on both sides of a core material 1, carbon fibers having a tensile elastic modulus of 20×103kgf/mm2 or more and breaking distortion energy of 4.0 mm.kgf/mm3 or more are used as the reinforcing fibers.
