PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mononuclear neutral copper (I) complexes, and opto-electronic elements using the complexes.SOLUTION: The invention relates to mononuclear neutral copper (I) complexes having a bidentate ligand that binds via a nitrogen atom, and two phosphane or arsine ligands, for example, the complexes of [Cu(H2Bpz2)(pop)] represented by the formula and having the ORTEP crystal structure represented by the figure 3, and electroluminescence devices using the complexes as emitter materials.
