Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the heat stability, light stability, moldability and transparency of a matrix, by condensing metal alkoxide molecules in which part of the alkoxyl groups are replaced by other organic groups through hydrolysis.
CONSTITUTION: A metal alkoxide (e.g., tetraethoxysilane) is mixed with another metal alkoxide in which part of the alkoxyl groups are replaced by other organic groups (e.g., dimethyldiethoxysilane), and the mixture is condensed through hydrolysis to obtain a matrix. This matrix is doped with a photosensitive compound (e.g., CdS).
