Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject new composition excellent in both matting characteristics and weather resistance by blending a polyacetal resin with a specific multiphase interpolymer, a specified ultraviolet ray absorber and a specific light stabilizer.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is obtained by blending (A) 100 pts.wt. polyacetal resin with (B) 1-100 pts.wt. multiphase interpolymer having a multiphase structure of two or more phases composed of the repetition of soft phases and hard phases from the central phase to the outermost phase, (C) 0.01-5 pts.wt. ultraviolet ray absorber selected from benzotriazole-based and oxalanilide-based ultraviolet ray absorbers {preferably 2-[2'-hydroxy-3',5'-bis-(α,α-dimethylbenzyl) phenyl]benzotriazole} and (D) 0.01-5 pts.wt. hindered amine-based light stabilizer (preferably 4-benzoyloxy-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine, etc.]. The hard layer is preferably a polymer composed of methyl methacrylate and the soft layer is a polymer composed of butadiene as the component (B).
