PURPOSE: To permit the superior full Q-control by detecting the combustion state of an engine by an ignition detector which outputs a signal in accordance with the combustion light of the engine and properly judging the full load from the result of the detection.
CONSTITUTION: An ignition detector 1 outputs the signal corresponding to the combustion light of a Diesel engine and detects the combustion state by a detecting means 2 on the basis of the output signal. Further, a memory means 3 memorizes previously the combustion state with the max. fuel quantity. A max. injection quantity setting means 4 judges if the operation state at this time corresponds to the max. fuel quantity injection on the basis of the detected combustion state and the combustion state by the memory means which corresponds to the engine operation state at this time, and if the judgement is 'YES', the signal corresponding to the max. injection quantity previously determined corresponding to the operation state at this time is outputted. A solenoid valve 5 for adjusting the fuel injection quantity is controlled through a driving circuit 6 according to the above-described signal.
