PURPOSE: To provide a meandering correcting device for a sheet-like body, which is comparatively low-priced and has good responsiveness, and by which the need of an output generating device is eliminated, and little failure is caused even if the device is operated in a bad environment.
CONSTITUTION: A meandering detecting roller 10 comprises right and left detecting rollers 13R, 13L which are rotated in contact with the side edge of a sheet-like body, and a guide roller 16 disposed between rotating shafts 12R, 12L for transmitting the rotation of the detecting rollers and the detecting rollers, and the rotation of the right or left rotating shaft 12R, 12L is transmitted to the right or left operating part 25R, 25L of a meandering correcting roller 24 through a transmission means such as a gear, feed screw rods 21R, 21L or the like. Simultaneously, the rotation of the right or left rotating shaft is changed in its direction by a transmission means such as gears 18R, 19, 18L or the like and similarly transmitted to the right or left operating part of the meandering correcting roller, so that both end parts of the meandering correcting roller are moved in the opposite directions to each other to control an angle of the rotating axis of the meandering correcting roller to the advancing direction of the sheet-like body. Thus, mechanical means are used to little cause failure and obtain good responsiveness.
