Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement device which can detect a boundary, for example, of an object accurately.SOLUTION: The measurement device is for measuring the distance to a measurement target object 10 by receiving a return light L2 of a laser beam L1 emitted to the measurement target object 10 by a light receiving unit 3. The measurement device includes a light source unit 1, a control unit 2, a light reception unit 3, and a polarization adjustment unit 5. The light source unit 1 emits a P-polarized light and an S-polarized light, which travels in different directions from each other, via the polarization adjustment unit 5, and the light receiving unit 3 receives the return light L2 as the reflected light of the polarized lights. The control unit 2 calculates the polarization intensity distribution on the basis of the result of light reception by the light receiving unit 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
