To obtain a measuring apparatus by which a movable load can be measure with high accuracy in a wide region by a method wherein a computing expression is stored for every region of a detection output from a detection means and the movable load is computed by using a plurality of computing expressions according to regions.

Output signals of respective load sensors 31, 32 are input to respective amplifiers 33a, 33b so as to amplified, they are input to a controller 34, a movable load is computed, and a result is displayed on a display device 35. The controller 34 finds the movable load on the basis of a plurality of computing expression which are set in advance according to regions of sensor output values. That is to say, a curve which expresses an actual sensor output characteristic is divided into, e.g. four regions, the regions are approximated respectively to straight lines, and inclinations of the straight lines in the respective regions are set as factors y1 to y4. then, the factors y1 to y4 are applied to respective regions with reference to the output values of the load sensors 31, 32, and the movable load is computed. By this method, the movable load of a vehicle can be measured with the high accuracy in a wide region.
