When the first measurement range is selected, the control part causes a display part 15 to display a scale image, and when the second measurement range is selected, the non-display processing in which the scale image is maintained in a non-display state is executed, then when the release switch 32 is operated during its execution, the control part also causes the display part 15 to display the scale image.
