To provide a measuring converter which can easily make accurate reliable temperature detection, the long-distance transmission of measured signals, and the processing of transmitted measurement information and a measured value processing method by which temperature measurement can be performed by using the converter.

A temperature-dependent ON/OFF-modulated signal S is generated and the polarity of the signal S is switched in such a way that another corrected ground-symmetrical signal S2 is generated at the beginning of each pulse edge of the signal S. Then each zero-crossing point of the signal S2 is found and the duration between each zero-crossing point of the signal S2 is grasped as a yardstick to the temperature T measured each time. Finally, an ON/OFF ratio g(T) is found from the duration and the corresponding temperature T is found from the ON/OFF ratio.
