To provide a measuring device for measuring a continuous body produced by a continuous body production unit of the tobacco-processing industry and the continuous body production unit equipped with the measuring device.
A measuring apparatus 10 formed and arranged for measuring a continuous body 12 transported in a transportation direction F is equipped with a measuring head 13 provided with at least two measuring modules 14 in order to form a measuring zone. A continuous body path 15 is formed in the measuring head 13 and a continuous body guide device 16 is attached to the measuring head 13. The measuring device is further equipped with an evaluation unit 18 and each of the measuring modules 14 is connected through a connection part to the evaluation unit. The whole measuring modules 14 are arranged in one common housing 19 of the measuring head 13 and the measuring modules 14 can be inserted through an electric and/or pneumatic insertion connection parts 17 to a module support 22 fixed on the bottom plate 20 of the housing 19 by freely selecting an insertion part at least partially.
