Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable the easy sepn. of perfect grains and crushed grains without using any sieve, by providing many recesses which are expanded in the upper part in such a way that about half the length of the grains supplied in an electromagnetic vibration feeder is submerged therein on the conveyance surface of said feeder.

CONSTITUTION: The conveyance member 11 of an electromagnetic vibration feeder 10 has a flat trough-like bottom surface. Many shallow circular cone-shaped recesses 13 which are a kind of recesses having expanded upper parts are provided on the conveyance surface 12 thereof. The size of each recess 13 is about the size at which about half the perfect grain is buried therein. The vertical angle θ thereof is set at 140W90°. The feeder 10 is constituted like a known feeder, that is, a machine base 14 is vibrated by an electromagnetic exciter 17 through leaf springs 15, 16 and the amplitude of the vibration can be changed with the voltage to be applied on an electromagnet 17. A hopper 18 is provided above the feeding end of the member 11 and a weighing device 19 is provided under the discharging end thereof, so that the measured weight is displayed 20.
