Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an automating measurement of snowfall amount an hour.
SOLUTION: The base 1 of a measuring device for snowfall an hour contains a driver 2 for a snowfall plate 5 and an operator 3 of snowfall amount an hour connected with a meteorology observation system 10. A pole 4 stands from the base 1. The snowfall plate 5 swings between the snowfall position and a snow-removing position on a horizontal plane using the driver 2. The first distance sensor 6 is for measuring the distance L1 to the fallen snow surface F1 on the snowfall plate 5 and the second distance sensor 7 is for measuring the distance L2 to the fallen snow surface F2. Both distance sensors 6 and 7 are supported with a pole 4 and projects over the measuring position in between the snowfall position and snow-removing position above the swing locus of the snowfall plate 5. A snow-removing brush 8 is supported with the pole 4, of which surface is projecting on the moving path of the snow plate surface F2 in between the measuring position and the snow-removing position on the swing locus of the snowfall plate 5.
