Abstract:
PURPOSE:To remove and reduce measurement errors due to the inclination of a measuring plug and external noise by making the measuring plug abut on the inner peripheral surface of the hole of a body to be measured while slanting it automatically and continuously, and obtaining numbers of measurement data on an analog basis. CONSTITUTION:A robot hand 1 is moved in an X-, a Y-, and a Z-axial direction to insert the measuring plug 7 into the hole H of the body W to be measured and a contactor 9 provided on its outer peripheral surface is made to abut on the inner peripheral surface of the hole H. Then the inclination of an RCC device 3 is controlled automatically and continuously to obtain and process numbers of measurement data, thereby obtaining a parabola A. The parabola A becomes a vibrating waveform owing to the external noises due to the bite surface of the hole H, surface roughness, etc., so a parabola B which contains no noise is obtained by smoothing. Then the minimum value M of this parabola B is found and regarded as the internal diameter of the body W to be measured. Thus, the external noise due to the surface roughness of the inner peripheral surface of the hole H is removed and measurement errors due to the inclination of the measuring plug 7 are reduced to obtain an accurate, stable measured value.
