Abstract:
To reduce or avoid the possibility that a medium is buckled during ejection of the medium to a medium receiving tray and to appropriately stack a plurality of media in the tray.SOLUTION: A medium ejection unit comprises: an ejection roller pair 36 comprising an ejection driving roller 36a being driven by power of a driving source and feeding a medium P and an ejection driven roller 36b being brought into contact with the ejection driving roller 36a and driven and rotated; and a medium receiving tray 18 receiving the medium P being fed by the ejection roller pair 36 and ejected. The medium receiving tray 18 comprises a guide member 44 guiding a leading end of the medium P ejected from the ejection roller pair 36 such that the leading end thereof enters with a predetermined angle with respect to a medium placing surface. The guide member 44 is provided in an elastically displaceable manner in an advancing/retreating movement direction with respect to the medium placing surface 18a of the medium receiving tray 18 and is displaced in a direction approaching with respect to the medium placing surface 18a in response to an increase of a pressing load due to the medium P ejected to the medium receiving tray 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
