When a mobile device downloads a large capacity media file from the outside, the media file is automatically split according to allowable capacity of a file system which is supported by the mobile device to support download even to a media file whose capacity exceeds the allowable capacity of the file system. When the capacity of a file to be downloaded is larger than or the same as the capacity of the file system of the mobile device, if a type of the file is a media file, the media file is split by the capacity of the file system of the mobile device, and a plurality of split splitting files are stored by setting information.
