Abstract:

To provide a media support device capable of manually rotating a roll support member for supporting a roll of media easily, and a printer equipped with such a media support device.SOLUTION: A media support device includes a roll support member 40 for supporting a roll around which sheet-like media are wound, and a rotation support member 50 for supporting the roll support member 40 so as to rotate around an axis line of the roll. The roll support member 40 includes a handle 42 for rotatably operating the roll support member 40. The handle 42 includes a portion protruding outward in a radial direction of the roll more than the rotation support member 50 in an axial direction view of the roll.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
