The winding mechanism is used in a device using a long belt-like media, and winds the media into a roll around a cylindrical winding tube. The winding mechanism includes a rotary shaft around which the winding tube is extractably and insertably passed through, and which is rotated integrally with the winding tube; a bearing part rotatably and separatably supporting both ends of the rotary shaft; a support means for rotatably and detachably supporting the winding tube; and a fixing part which is disposed continuously and integrally with the support means, and fixes the support means to a device body. At least a part of the fixing part is constructed from a leaf spring, and the leaf spring portion is movable.
