To improve the extraction accuracy of a region of interest.SOLUTION: A medical image processing apparatus according to an embodiment includes an image acquisition unit and an extraction unit. The image acquisition unit acquires target medical image data that is to be extracted from the region of interest indicating an anatomical structure region which the user is interested in. The extraction unit extracts the regions of interest in the target medical image data by using a learned model that has been trained using the region of interest in the medical image data and regions other than the region of interest and that satisfy the specified conditions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
