Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a treatment tool.SOLUTION: A medical image processing device includes an imaging part for imaging an object in which a light emitting marker is arranged, and a processing part for processing an image taken by the imaging part. The processing part extracts a color emitted by the light emitting marker from the image, and detects a region in the image where the extracted color is distributed as a region where the object is located. The processing part calculates chromaticity for each pixel in the image, extracts a pixel having the chromaticity corresponding to the color emitted by the light emitting marker, and detects the extracted pixel as a region where the object is present. This technology can be applied, for example, to an endoscope system, a surgical system, and a microsurgery system.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
