A medical instrument comprises a male instrument connector 11 comprising male fluid connectors 28-30, the male fluid connectors being arranged on a preferably flat face 20. On the same face 20, there is preferably arranged a venting bore disposed to act as pressure relief by means of which leaking fluids, in particular leaking gases, the gases potentially and in particular in error situations accumulating in an instrument 4, can be discharged toward the outside. With this concept, a cover cap that can be attached to the face 20 can be provided with a request. Accordingly, it is possible to sterilize the instrument including the male instrument connector 11.
