Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical instrument retaining a medicament at an outer surface of an inflatable structure such as a balloon and a stent, not obstructing inflation of the balloon at a narrow area, and having favorable medicament absorption property with respect to a wall cell.SOLUTION: A polydimethylsiloxane is applied on an outer surface of a balloon 120 as a carrier, then, a medicament is stuck to the balloon outer surface on which the polydimethylsiloxane is applied, and the medicament is kneaded in the polydimethylsiloxane on the balloon outer surface. Consequently, this configuration can provide the medical instrument retaining the medicament on the outer surface of an inflatable structure, not obstructing inflation of the inflatable structure at an affected part, and having a favorable drug absorption property with respect to a wall cell.
