To provide a medical instrument capable of reducing the weight of an body insertion instrument and easily exchanging an electric energy source such as a battery even while treating or observing an intracelom lesion by providing the relatively heavy electric energy source such as the battery separately from the body insertion instrument and supplying the electric energy of the electric energy source through a trocar to the body insertion instrument.
An electrically conductive pipe is integrally provided on the inner peripheral surface of a through-hole 6a formed at a grip 6 screwable to the sheath main body 5 of the trocar 2 and the power supply terminal 4a of a battery housing 4 housing the battery as the electric energy source and the bar-shaped electric terminal 3a of an ultrasonic incision and solidification device 3 as the testee body insertion tool are freely insertably and detachably fitted to the through-hole 6a. Thus, the electric energy of the battery is supplied through the trocar 2 to the ultrasonic incision and solidification device 3.
