Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical longitudinal member which has an excellent operability in a pulmonary airway and prevents formation of a level difference in a connection part at which a plurality of members different in a lumen diameter, an outer diameter thereof, and a physical property thereof are connected, so that various members, liquid and so forth can be smoothly moved in the lumen, and a connection member used for the medical longitudinal member.SOLUTION: A longitudinal member 10 comprises: a bend part 20 which is arranged at the tip side; a body part 50 which is arranged at the base end side of the bend part; and an entry auxiliary part 40 connecting the bend part with the body part, which includes a tip end insertion hole 41 into which the base end part of the bend part is insertable, a base end insertion hole 42 into which the tip part of the body part is insertable, and a lumen 43 which is connected with the tip end insertion hole and the base end insertion hole and of which diameter is gradually reduced from the diameter of the lumen 53 in the body part to the diameter of lumen 23 in the bend part between the base end side and the tip side.
