To reduce the force necessary for molding a medical staple.
The stapler A comprises a housing 1 with a ram guide part 9 for guiding a ram 6 in the direction of an anvil 5 and a rotatably attached lever 2, the lever 2 to be moved by a driving part 2a abutting to the ram 6 in the direction of the anvil 5, the anvil 5 fixed to the housing 1 and connected to the distal end of a storage part 4 for supporting a fed staple 3, and the ram 6 which is structured to be slidable to the housing and reciprocally movable to the anvil 5 and which has an abutting part 6a abutting to the driving part 2a of the lever and a pair of legs 6b for molding the staple 3 in the anvil 5. The ram 6 is made of a metal material, and the driving part 2a of the lever 2 and the ram guide part 9 of the housing 1 are made of synthetic resin. The gap C formed between the molding face 6c of each leg 6b and the opposite end of the anvil 5 has the dimensions corresponding to the thickness of the staple 3.
