To provide a system including medical technology equipment that can be controlled through a foot switch, and to provide the foot switch.SOLUTION: A system 1 includes medical technology equipment 10 and a foot switch 20. The medical technology equipment 10 can be controlled through the foot switch 20, and in order to wirelessly transmit a signal for control that can be uniquely assigned from the foot switch 20 to the medical technology equipment 10, the foot switch 20 includes a transmitter and the medical technology equipment 10 includes a receiver. The receiver of the medical technology equipment 10 is designed to measure the signal intensity of the signal from the foot switch 20, and the medical technology equipment 10 is designed to issue a warning when the measured signal intensity or a signal-to-noise ratio is below a threshold defined beforehand.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
