To obtain a medicinal composition having high safety, exhibiting excellent gastritis and stomach ulcer treating effect and useful as a digestive medicine by simultaneously formulating cetraxate hydrochloride with histamine H2 receptor antagonistic medicine and an antacid.
This medicinal composition comprises (A) cetraxate hydrochloride, (B) histamine H2 receptor antagonistic medicine (preferably, one or two or more kinds of compounds selected from a group comprising preferably cimetidine, ranitidine, famotidine and roxatidine) and (C) an antacid (preferably, one or two or more kinds of compounds selected from a group comprising sodium hydrogencarbonate, precipitated calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, magnesium hydroxide, magnesium oxide and magnesium silicate). Furthermore, preferable formulation amount of each component in administering to human is as follows: the component A: 600 mg/day; cimetidine: 300 mg/day when cimetidine is used as the component B; sodium hydrogencarbonate: 450 mg/day and precipitated calcium carbonate: 600 mg/day when sodium hydrogencarbonate and precipitated calcium carbonate are used as the component C.
