PURPOSE: To obtain a medicinal pharmaceutical for external use capable of sustained percutaneous absorption and lasting the drug effect and applicable to bradycardia, attack of asthma, etc., by forming a base layer prepared by incorporating isoproterenol or hydrochloride thereof in a high polymer on a flexible carrier.
CONSTITUTION: A medicinal pharmaceutical for external use obtained by incorporating isoproterenol or hydrochloride thereof in a high polymer, and forming a base layer of the produced isoproterenol-containing base on a flexible carrier. An acrylic polymer having -55W-25°C glass transition temperature (Tg) and tackiness at ordinary temperature is particularly preferred for the high polymer. The compounding ratio of the isoproterenol is 1W25wt%, preferably 2W15wt% based on the above-mentioned base. The concentration of the drug in blood is constant for a long period and more improved pharmacological effect is produced.
