Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject diagnostic medicine useful for screening a hepatitis C virus gene causing NANB hepatitis, etc., by selecting a sequence in which the continuous sequence of a specific number of nucleic acids is hybridized with the gene of hepatitis C virus(HCV).
SOLUTION: The continuous sequence of at least ten nucleotides is selected from either one chain of base sequences of the formulas. The continuous sequence of at least ten nucleotides can be hybridized with the polynucleotide of hepatitis C virus(HCV), and thereby can detect the HCV polynucleotide. Thus, a polynucleotide probe reagent containing the continuous sequence of at least ten nucleotides and useful for screening or multiplying the polynucleotide of the HCV causing NANB hepatitis and the objective NANB hepatitis virus (NANBV)-diagnosing medicine comprising a PCR primer are obtained.
